Wolfpack Announce the Signing of Former Lakota Tech Forward Josef Long Soldier

Oglala Lakota Nation — Four Winds University proudly announces the signing of standout basketball forward Josef Long Soldier to our men’s basketball program for the upcoming 2024-2025 season. At 6’7, Long Soldier brings impressive skills and a deep passion for the game, which grew during his high school career at Lakota Tech and subsequently at United Tribes Technical College during this past season, where they made it to the JUCO Nationals.

Coach Shaun Little Horn expressed his enthusiasm for Long Soldiers’ commitment. “Josef brings a blend of talent, discipline, and leadership and can impact the game both in the paint and on the perimeter and will be a valuable asset for the Wolfpack this season.”

The Four Winds Wolfpack basketball program is designed to showcase and develop the immense talent of Lakota athletes, providing over 30 nationally televised games each season against a mix of high-level tribal and non-tribal colleges. This exposure is crucial for our athletes, opening doors for their future careers in basketball.
