Four Winds University is proud to announce the commitment of Shelby Steele-Tymes, a former standout basketball player from Pine Ridge High School, to the Wolfpack’s inaugural basketball team for the 2024-2025 season. Shelby Steele brings his exceptional talent and dedication to the court.
“We are thrilled to welcome Shelby Steele-Tymes to the Four Winds Wolfpack,” said Shaun Little Horn, Head Coach of the Wolfpack. “Shelby is a remarkable player with immense potential. His dedication to the game and his love for our Lakota community makes him a perfect fit for our program. We look forward to seeing him excel on and off the court.”
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Shelby’s athletic career faced an unexpected pause. Undeterred, he dedicated his time to working on his game and even coaching as an assistant at Pine Ridge High School, honing his skills and supporting his community while waiting for the next opportunity to arise.
The Four Winds Wolfpack’s inaugural season will feature over 30 games, including matchups against both tribal and non-tribal colleges. All games will be broadcasted on Roku TV, Amazon TV, and Apple TV, providing extensive exposure for the team and its players.
