As a junior, Cuevas played a key role for the White River Tigers, helping lead the team to an impressive 21-3 record. As a result, He earned a spot on the 2022 Lakota Times All-Star Third Team.
In his senior year, Cuevas transferred to Lakota Tech, where he continued to excel. He was selected to compete in two postseason events: the Lakota All-Star Game and the Battles of the Plains All-Star Game.
