Four Winds University proudly announces that Micah Swallow has committed to joining the Wolfpack basketball team for the 2024-2025 season. A graduate of Central High School in Rapid City, Micah brings a wealth of experience and talent to the team, having played two successful seasons at North Dakota State College of Science.

During his time at NDSCS, Micah Swallow instantly emerged as one of the top JUCO players in the region, averaging 13.9 points and 6.5 rebounds per game as a freshman. He continued to elevate his game in his sophomore year, posting 15.7 points and 5.1 rebounds per game. Known for his dynamic athleticism, Micah is a versatile player capable of impacting the game on both ends of the floor.

“Micah is an exceptional athlete, but he’s so much more than that,” said Shaun Little Horn, Head Coach of the Wolfpack. “He has a deep understanding of the game, a tireless work ethic, and a commitment to continuous improvement. Four Winds University is thrilled to announce the commitment of Jesse Hand Jr. to the Wolfpack basketball team for the upcoming 2024-2025 season. A standout guard from Douglas High School, Jesse brings a dynamic skill set and a relentless work ethic to the court that promises to be a great addition to the Wolfpack.

Jesse is known for his explosive first step and impressive shooting range making him a formidable offensive threat and providing the Wolfpack with a versatile player who can excel both inside and outside the arc. Former Thorpe Shelby Steele-Tymes Commits to the Wolfpack

Four Winds University is proud to announce the commitment of Shelby Steele-Tymes, a former standout basketball player from Pine Ridge High School, to the Wolfpack’s inaugural basketball team for the 2024-2025 season. Shelby Steele brings his exceptional talent and dedication to the court.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Shelby’s athletic career faced an unexpected pause. Undeterred, he dedicated his time to working on his game and even coaching as an assistant at Pine Ridge High School, honing his skills and supporting his community while waiting for the next opportunity to arise.

Daice Marshall Commits to Run with the Pack

Four Winds University is excited to announce the commitment of Daice Marshall to the Four Winds Wolfpack basketball team. Daice Marshall will be transferring to the Wolfpack after a gap season, having previously made an impressive debut starting as a true freshman for Bacone College.

Known for his exceptional skills and versatility, Daice is the kind of “big” every Division I school is looking for, with his ability to finish in the paint, pass, rebound, dribble, and score anywhere on the floor.

The Wolfpack Announce the Commitment of AIHEC MVP Halin Bad Bear

The Four Winds Wolfpack are thrilled to announce the commitment of Halin Bad Bear, the standout player and MVP of last season’s AIHEC Division II National Tournament. This landmark signing marks a significant milestone for the Four Winds Wolfpack as they prepare for their inaugural basketball season in 2024-2025.

Halin Bad Bear’s exceptional performance and leadership on the court have garnered him widespread recognition, making him one of the most recognized players in Tribal college basketball. Last season, playing at Oglala Lakota College, Halin helped lead the men’s basketball team to their first national championship in 41 years.

Quincy Means Set to Bring His Energetic Style to Wolfpack

Former Lakota Tech and Red Cloud Guard Beau Donavan Commits to Wolfpack

Four Winds University is proud to announce the addition of Beau Donavan to our men’s basketball team for the upcoming 2024-2025 season. Beau,a talented guard with limitless potential, has officially committed to play for the Wolfpack.

Originally playing for Red Cloud High School, Beau demonstrated exceptional leadership and basketball IQ that set him apart as one of the top players in his region. His potential for collegiate basketball became evident early in his high school career. Unfortunately, the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic significantly disrupted the traditional recruiting processes, affecting many young athletes like Beau.

In an effort to continue his basketball career, Beau transferred to Lakota Tech, where he continued to excel. Despite the setbacks faced during the pandemic, which saw a decline in recruiting attention, Beau’s dedication and passion for the game never wavered.

Coach Shaun Little Horn commented, “Beau is a quick decision-maker with elite playmaking abilities. His ability to read the game and make pivotal team-first decisions is exactly what we look for in a Wolfpack player.”

Wolfpack Announce the Signing of Former Lakota Tech Forward Josef Long Soldier

Oglala Lakota Nation — Four Winds University proudly announces the signing of standout basketball forward Josef Long Soldier to our men’s basketball program for the upcoming 2024-2025 season. At 6’7, Long Soldier brings impressive skills and a deep passion for the game, which grew during his high school career at Lakota Tech and subsequently at United Tribes Technical College during this past season, where they made it to the JUCO Nationals. 

Coach Shaun Little Horn expressed his enthusiasm for Long Soldiers’ commitment. “Josef brings a blend of talent, discipline, and leadership and can impact the game both in the paint and on the perimeter and will be a valuable asset for the Wolfpack this season.”
