Men's Basketball Coach Shaun Little Horn

Shaun Little Horn took the helm as the head coach of the men’s basketball team at Four Winds University on June 1st, 2024. His illustrious coaching career is marked by guiding his former high school teams to a combined total of seven state championships and seven national high school championships across various leagues, including the NACA, NPSAA, NCSAA, and MAACS. In his first year as a college coach in 2024, he led Oglala Lakota College to its first national championship in 41 years and was named the 2023-2024 Tribal College Coach of the Year.

Throughout his tenure in high school basketball, Little Horn played a pivotal role in advancing over 70 athletes who proceeded to play at the collegiate level. Additionally, he has been instrumental in developing 29 players who have pursued professional basketball careers, both in the United States and abroad.

Along with being named the Tribal College Coach of the Year, Coach Little Horn has been named national high school Coach of the Year three times. Known for his offensive strategies, Little Horn’s teams have consistently averaged upwards of 93 points per game in all but one season.

Now at Four Winds University, Little Horn views this role as a profound opportunity to contribute to the community. He is committed to leading Four Winds to multiple national championships while opening more doors for Lakota athletes.
